Our Story

More Than a Salon

Lumière Beauty Studio was born in 2016 from a simple but powerful idea — that every person in Kampala deserves access to world-class beauty services without compromise. Our founder, Amara Nakato, opened the studio with two styling chairs, a small team, and an enormous amount of belief.

Today, Lumière is a full-service unisex studio with eight specialists, serving hundreds of clients every single month. We have grown entirely through word of mouth — no gimmicks, just results.

We are proud to serve men and women of all ages — from university students to CEOs, brides to grooms, teenagers to grandmothers. Everyone is welcome here. Everyone leaves looking their best.

Amara Nakato

Amara founded Lumière in 2016 with one mission — to build a salon where every person feels genuinely seen. With over 10 years of professional training across Uganda and Kenya, she specialises in creative cutting, natural hair styling, and client consultations.

Amara believes that a great look starts with a great conversation. Before any stylist touches your hair, we listen. That philosophy has shaped everything about how Lumière operates — from the way we greet clients to the way we follow up after every appointment.
